Using job templates in the NowGo mobile app

Quickly add new jobs from a template, insert them into your shift, and sequence the route

Updated over 2 months ago

You can use templates to quickly add pre-prepared jobs to your shift. When you create a new ad hoc job from a job template, you have the option to insert the new job into your existing route, or sequence all your outstanding jobs to reorganise your route and save time.

This article covers adding new ad hoc jobs from a job template. For information about onboarding items that have already been added to your shift, see the picking up a consignment article.

Add a new job from a job template

You can add a new job from a template from the main stops view in the mobile app. For more information about the stops view, see the stops section article in the how to use the mobile app collection.

Adding a new job from a job template

  1. Open the NowGo app and login to your account.

  2. Tap Stops in the bottom navigation bar. You might need to start your shift first.

  3. Tap the three dots menu in the bottom right corner, and tap Add job to add a new job to your shift.

  4. Scroll or search to find the job template you want to use in the list. Tap the template to select it:

    • Tap the action to immediately perform that action and complete the job. Actions can be something like Deliver or Pickup.

    • Tap Add to shift to add the new job to your shift for completion later.

  5. If you choose to add the new ad hoc job to your shift, you have some additional options to help you choose how you want to add the job to your route:

    • Tap Reorder all stops to sequence your shift again. This adds in the new stops, then rearranges all the existing stops into the optimal order.

    • Tap Insert stops to insert the new stops into your existing route, without changing the order of your existing stops.
